Well, I dont quite agree on that... Those two approaches is not very much more bulky than a rifle with an UGL... This seems to be achieved by using a low-tech approach in comparison to the OICW and the PAPOP.
Still, a "clean" rifle is a lot more practical to carry, and a standalone automatic grenade-launcher with automatic airburst options would be preferrable... Especially if you could time the grenades to explode with 5m between them, shooting a burst of grenades airbursting at 110-105-100m for good effect against trenches and positions.

First the Chi-Coms copy the USA woodland pattern camo and PASGAT Helmet and now they are trying to copy the OICW project.

Well, they have come up with the 5.8mm cartridge...

And they also have come up with a less bulky "OICW"...

Sure, the Chi-Coms copies a lot, but I wouldnt exactly say this is copying... They actually have a layout of the gun which is not similar to the OICW...
