Car bomb kills 10, wounds 38 in Iraqi city of Samarra

BAGHDAD, Iraq_A suicide car bomber killed 10 people and wounded another 38
in an attack against the house of a tribal leader in the city of Samarra in
central Iraq, police said.

The bomber attacked the home of Khalid Filaih al-Baz, a leader in the
al-Bubaz tribe, Samarra police Capt. Layth Mohammed said. After the 4:30
p.m. (1230 GMT) explosion, two mortar rounds landed near the house in
Samarra's al-Mutasim neighborhood, about 95 kilometers (60 miles) north of
Baghdad, he said.
