AP - U.S. officials say Pakistan has apparently tipped off militants at two more bomb-building factories in its tribal areas, giving the terror suspects time to flee, after U.S. intelligence shared the locations with the Pakistani government.

The Pakistani behavior seems to me at times to show histrionic and narcissistic traits that really need to be stroked upon with great effort if one wishes them to "fall into some line" of desired modified future behavior.

I formally apologize for my uncouth stereotyping to the nice small business owners of Pakistani descent who are currently vaillantly manning 24 hour boutiques containing cheaper hard to find fresh groceries of good quality into some relatively hostile territories. I am sure many of the wiser and maybe slightly more mature ones of them may understand that my post, albeit seemingly slightly lighthearted in tone, has in fact some serious undertones to it, and these may have to do to a certain extent, I believe, with the unfortunate geographical location of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which does wish, I am sure, to reach the ideal state of a HEALTHY buffer state, yet is as of now still obstructed/impeded from that, I say, inevitable evolution, by some more primitive almost seemingly eternally warring factions, which tend to prefer the Hegelian mode of viewing history as a spiral, rather than the other views: the one which says history moves forward slowly as a calm lazy river, (such as maybe the Russian River Don or the North African River Nile), and the other more recent one, my own, which says it is more like a waterfall...what is done is done and cannot be undone, yet one gets maybe the lucky chance to see some rainbows as one is falling, one can always hope to have the fall amortized by some miracle, and one could in fact "escape" by being able to navigate further, after the fall, and drift along some banks, hopefully being rescued by some native human or beast come downstream to quench its thirst.

Confusing ? I admit it is. I wish I had the talent to draw a picture combining some parts of Disney's "[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVJgpIJEnxc"]Pocahontas[/ame]" and the DreamWorks's "[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixE5ar11cZ4"]Prince of Egypt[/ame]", in order to more accurately depict how I tend to see history.

I also formally apologize to the thinker who opined that history flows like a river because I cannot remember his name. Personally, I feel that his vision is more optimistic than the spiral one of Hegel.

I also think the inventor of the lovable & ingenious slinky toy attempted at some point in the XXth century to combine these seemingly opposing views about history, (and maybe development ?), into a unitary useful and pleasurable one, but I doubt that many understood his aspiration at the time; there's been a movie Director or Screen Writer, (I do not know whose IDEA it was), who seems to have attempted [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltwxC19s5u8"]to bring the slinky back[/ame] into our collective counsciousness in a late XXth century Jim Carrey movie, but again I doubt that many understood his thoughtful motivation beyond the delight to see again that toy while anticipating the Jack-in-the box moves of Mr. James Eugene "Jim" Carrey himself.

Look what I just discovered surfing around for "Slinky and Movies" ! [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbMMkD29FUs"]YouTube - ‪60 Second Movie Ideas: Episode 26 - 12/6/10‬‏[/ame], plus http://www.ramascreen.com/check-out-the-pitch-for-slinky-movie !

I just have the nagging feeling thought that the "Hollywood Division & Independent Affilates" is looking towards slightly more than just a synergistic toy sale pitch, but maybe it is, like many others, looking for something MORE...or maybe this is just a false hope born out of my naive eternal optimistic faith that the NICE guys win, that the Underdog shall have his Day, that Wishes made Upon Shooting Stars do come true (for this latter I PERSONALLY KNOW TWO LIVING WITNESSES WHO CAN CONFIRM IT !), not to mention that Santa Claus DOES exist (for which I also have ONE living Witness PLUS a historical written attestation from a now defunct newspaper, "The Sun" of [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjPCuRTltJ4&feature=related"]New York[/ame] !).

I also hope that my optimistic vision about waterfall journeys was not CREATED by the "Hollywood Main Original Classic Division", just an inborn one later reinforced by it !

Sorry again for my horrid tangents off of such a serious current day political topic, but I am thinking about one of those above mentioned witnesses who likes to celebrate at times "X-mas in July", & I am also thinking about America's birthday coming near, about the recent Foreign Policy moves re. the US-Pakistan relationship, etc., etc.
BTW, did you know that [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeXFp8Z6NBM"]Queen Sonja of Norway's birthday[/ame] is also on the 4th of July ?

P.S. I tried finding out who was that original thinker who opined that history flows like a river, I did find out that Mr. Albert Einstein said that "TIME flows like a river", yet I think, although I am not sure, that someone else said it about history maybe around the same time as Mr. Einstein, or maybe slightly before him. Can anyone help me out here ?
