Aerial refueling: Boom vs. Probe?

Which one is more advantageous? Why would an AF prefer one setup over the other?

In my opinion the probe looks better. Probe seems better due to their flexibility allowing less accuracy to the pilots and avoiding wind blows. Also in this case, one tanker can refuel two fighters.

The U.S. Navy uses the "probe type" because large aircraft configured for 'boom type" refueling cannot operate from aircraft carriers due to size constraints. A variety of carrier aircraft can be readily configure as tankers by attaching tanks with apparatus.

Yeah the boom is probably a better system but not everyone can afford them.
