5th Cav and 11th MEU into Najaf

Shit, this deal with the mosque is going to be difficult. This aint any regular mosque, this is the burial site of Abu Bakr, the first Caliph of the Islamic State. It would be like them marching into St Peters Bassilica and tourching it. It's a shame Al-Sadr is so misguided in his own religion that he fails to recognize he's inviting the destruction of a rich portion of Islamic history.

Well, the reports seem to be that while there is fighting in Najaf, Sadr's people are taking over greater parts of Baghdad, Basra, and other cities. His militia will not be defeated until Sadr City is cleared out.

Give it some time. The militia might have learned some basic tactics, but it won't make a difference.
