Production Weekly reports that Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby star Will Ferrell is in talks to reunite with Old School screenwriter Scot Armstrong for Semi-Pro.

The comedy, set in the world of 1970's basketball, is eyeing a February production start in Minneapolis.

Armstrong, who also did a rewrite on Elf, is penning sequels to Old School and Elf, both for Ferrell to topline.

Ferrell just signed with Sony to reteam with his "Talladega Nights" co-star John C.Reilly and director Adam McKay for the comedy Step Brothers, about two coddled guys who live with their respective single parents. Their folks fall in love and marry, making the guys stepbrothers.

I think he's just gone feral.
