Thats what I heard about the Vietnam Era ammunition.

I have heard that the British SA 80 is about to be scrapped, no matter what they have done with the damn thing its not reliable. Its a bad design, some troops called it the Leper, because bits kept falling off of it.

I reckon Britain should look at the M16A3 or the M4. The SAS won't touch the SA 80, they prefer the M4 if I remember correctly

The AK 47 is a brilliantly reliable weapon, but not very accurate. A good rifle was the British built version of the FN FAL, the L1A1 it was accurate and reliable. I had one of the originals with wooden stock, bloody good rifle. |I was highly annoyed when they gave me a new one with plastic stock.
