What book about war, military, commanding, combat - have you enjoyed the best or found to be the most inspiring, educational?

There's a forum for these located below this on in the main index. It's called "what's your favorite..." This might need to be moved there... Not sure.

But while I'm here, I like The Rise and Fall of the Third Riech. ;)
 
My favorite is "The Art Of War " by Sun Tzu.

#2 on my list is "On War" by Carl Von Clauswitz

#3 is "War As I Knew It" by George S. Patton.

#4 is "Advance and Retreat" by John Bell Hood

"on command and warfare" i forget who its by, i borrowed it from the library, got quotes from great military figurse, an awesome book

In addition "Berlin" by the same author!

From WW1: They called it Passchendaele, the story of the third battle of Ypres by Lyn MacDonald.
