Let me just throw in my Idea for a playoff system; any team with at least a .600 win percentage prior to conference championship games or at least a share of their conference championship goes to the playoffs; the teams are seeded by win percentage, then alphabetically. So, for example, the 1998 season:

Out of the ACC would come Florida State, Georgia Tech, Virginia, and NC State.

Miami (OH), who finished 10-1 but did not play in a bowl game because of Marshall winning the MAC, would be in.

To prevent abuse and loading up on cupcake teams, there would be a limit on how many games BCS conference teams could play against non-BCS conference teams and I-AA teams.

Yup, they do! And I think they won the Ivy League last year...
