I had a feeling when the US Army National Guard selected the UH-72A that this type could be used in more roles. The newest role it's up for is US Army scout helicopter. A new "Armed Scout 645" type may win and become the US Army's new scout helicopter. I have to assume the Huey II is either too big or expensive for the selection. EADS does have a North American factory and production line in the United States. The UH-72A are being produced ahead of schedule and to date have only heard positive things about them.
