FALLUJAH, Iraq, Sept 3, 2006 (AFP) - Insurgents detonated two car bombs next
to army checkpoints in western Iraq on Sunday, killing five Iraqi soldiers
and wounding two more, said Captain Ahmed Dulaimi of the Fallujah police.

Dulaimi told AFP the blasts occurred on the road between Baghdad and
Fallujah, an area notorious for attacks by Sunni rebels opposed to Iraq's
unity government and its US allies.
