I WAS AN AIR-TRAFFIC CONTROLLER stationed at Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Michigan. One morning we picked up a Montana National Guard passenger aircraft. Instead of identifying the plane by its five-digit tail number, its pilot radioed, "Selfridge Approach, this is Pig Sty One." As we were taught to refer to aircraft by whatever call sign the pilot used, the controller thereafter called the craft "Pig Sty One." Just after touching down, the pilot contacted the tower.

"Selfridge," he said, "our call sign is not 'Pig Sty One.' It is 'Big Sky One,' and we have the governor of Montana on board!"

By the way, for our international folks here, the state of Montana is known as "Big Sky Country", hence the reference to "Big Sky".
 
Don't know if this counts as radio interference but it is in the right ball park.

We used to have an 2IC with a stutter - this would become more pronounced if he was put under pressure and of course we knew. Hence radio traffic with him would often become a delight to listen in to. Eg on one excercise:

Sunray Minor(2IC): Hello Wun Two Delta this is Sunray Minor move to grid Mike Kilo 22217922 over.
12D: (2 Tp): Hello Sunray Minor say again grid over
Sunray Minor (now flustered) Wun Two Two D-Delta move to Grid 2222217922 over.
12D: Repeat your last Sunray Minor was that 22 or 222 over
22D: Sunray Minor this is 22D relay your message over.
Sunray Minor: 222D stay of the air, 12D move to grid 222 wrong 2222, oh you b*st*rds Out.

Que all listeners to fall about laughing.

Probably be a political correctness issue with that now
