A new study indicates that most people spend more time with technology than they do with their family.
The survey found 65 percent of respondents spent more time with a computer than with their spouse or significant other.
The survey was conducted by Kelton Research, an independent firm, and commissioned by support.com, a site that offers tech support.
More than 80 percent of those polled said they were more dependent on their computer than they were three years ago.
Among other findings of the "Cyber Stress" study:
- The average consumer has experienced computer troubles eight times - about every four months - over the last three years.
- The average American is wasting 12 hours per month - the equivalent of half a weekend - due to problems with their home computer. - A majority of Americans (52%) describe their most recent experience with a computer problem as one of anger, sadness or alienation. The survey was conducted in December and January, involving 1001 participants nationwide, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1%, at a 95% confidence level.

Sooooooo true. I could happily survive without my husband, but I'd die if I didn't have my computer. :D

LMAO! That is sad

Maybe the partner should get a computer as well and the can talk to each other.

My fiancée and I are in bed and both have our laptops out and are surfing independently as I type this.

Erm...Anyway...Yea, I have no doubt about it...My dad spends all day on a computer at work, then comes home and is on his laptop till the wee hours of the morning.

Use your computer for good purpose,
If you are spending times for MIT opencourse, your mom will praise you.lol
I say, don't play games too much time on computer.
