Ubi concordia, ibi victoria
(Where there is unity, there is the victory.)
- Roman proverb

Nemo me impune lacessit
(no one provokes me with impunity)

Volens et potens
(willing and able)

PAX QUAERITUR BELLO
(Peace is sought by war)

SIC VOS NON VOBIS

and the new U.S. Army slogan:
Risk Your Life for Freedoms No One Appreciates!

(i hope this doesn't violate the "English only" rule)

This does not violate the rule.
As long as there is an English translation it's OK.

The English only rule is ment for discussions only.
I don't want any discussions here that I can't understand and moderate...

So thanks for these latin quotes/mottos/proverbs..

Latin is cool!

In nomine veritas et aequitas. It's not a motto though...not a military one at least. it's mine.

"in the name of truth and justice". the grammar is probably a little off, i don't know Latin.

De Oppresso Liber I believe means Freedom for the Oppressed. My last latin class was 2 years ago so I'm a little rusty. According to my shirt that is the motto for the US Army Special Forces.
