Well, another snide remark.

I wish the Europeans would cut their funding to BOTH sides.

I wish the U.S. would cut it's funding to all the other people with their hands out.

Snide remarks are all that is left when neither side is listening and everything has been said a thousand times over.
This is a thread that should have been closed and stickied about 150 pages ago.

Besides it is hard to take anything VD says at face value when he is clearly making up his persona.

If you take a look at the statistics there was a long period when this thread was just about all that kept the Forum going.

It might be worthwhile if they had an Israeli War Crimes Museum.... that could take up a few days.

I was invited to the Wedding of my "Cousin" Sarah to Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx (a full time Jewish scholar) at Kibbutz Ramat Rachel Hotel in Jerusalem in 1999. They are both active members of B'tselem, I'm sure that would have been far more pleasant but I declined that too it would have ruined one of the pages of my Passport and given the Israelis another Passport to falsify and use to commit further crimes around the world.

That's OK, you probably would get yourself, or worse, me, killed. Have a Merry Christmas.

The offer is still open to anybody else.

Of you, I have no doubt, and that is perfectly understandable, but my main risk would be being in your company, my B'tselem patch would keep me out of most harm except perhaps from those charming Israeli "settlers".

I wouldn't worry a great deal, I've always managed so far. I think that places like Point Noire, in the Congo would put any perceived danger found anywhere in Palestine decidedly in the shade.

To a large degree it still is however part of me thinks it may also be one of the reasons for the forum drop off.
Seems to me that every Israeli that has taken part in this thread ran off screaming "anti-semetic" at the first sign of return fire which despite being kind of amusing for the likes of you and I probably does little for the forums popularity.

One day I will return but having been there in July/August this year and already having plans for Turkey next year and Germany the year after that I doubt it will be before 2016 as part of an Egypt vacation.
As for the rest given the friendliness of the Palestinians I met on the last trip I doubt either of us are in any real danger from them so I assume you mean the occupation forces?

I can't really see it. Israelis and their Hasbara Troll mates, have only ever been an absolutely miniscule part of the membership compared with the total active membership say, 6 years ago, and I think that it would be fair to say that, by far the greatest majority of that membership never showed the slightest interest in this subject.

I think that if you care to leaf through the Membership list there are a lot of names who were long gone before either of us even arrived on the scene, the other thing you will note is that we have also lost just as many who were anti Zionist in their views.

My personal opinion is that we attract a lot of "teenage and twenties" members, and this is a volatile age group who eventually find more interesting pursuits like women, Marriage and families, I can name several where I know this to be the case as I have remained in touch with them.

I'd say that the majority of those few pro Zionist members drifted away, because they realised that they were facing more than an audience whose head they could fill with the standard issue of Israeli lies and distortions. Put simply, facing the obvious truth just got too much for them.

I do know that the forum went through a very turbulent stage several years ago where many active members were so put out, that they actually started their own "Social Group" on Farcebook, with a view to starting their own site, and withdrew from participation here. I was invited to join, and no doubt you were also, I became a member but found that it could not hold my interest as it was once again focused on a far younger age group and social dynamic.

I am not sure why you would be concerned about how we were treated, we are independant nations and should have taken the opportunity to cut the apron strings to Britain.
I was in effect talking about trade between the UK, Australia and new Zealand. I have no idea how much trade the Aussies and Kiwi's lost when Britain became a member of the EEC, but I have heard it was considerable. I would like to see closer trade ties. As a matter of interest when Britain voted during a referendum to join the EEC, according to government there was an overwhelming vote to join, yet after the vote I asked a number of people if they voted to join, everyone apart from one chap voted a resounding "no."

I not too fond of the monarchy either, I was at one time a staunch royalist, now I wouldn't urinate on them if they were on fire.

If they would have not had to fight the U.S. also, their supply lines would not of been cut. Then they could have had impeded resupply to the Aus front, and if attrition went their way, well maybe. As for what did happen, we know. Aussie troops pushed them back and they had to deal with the US.
With what I said, it was directed to the Nazi from Aus. He apparently has never been to Israel, and is so foolish, he can't even admit that the U.S. was instrumental in the Allies winning WWII.
My original post stated simple truths, and he could only come back calling my daughter names.
Leaving the US Navy out of the picture for the moment, if the Japanese had invaded Australia, the country is so vast and desolate in places (according to lessons learned at school) the Japanese could never survive, their supply lines would be impossibly long.

I'm certainly not your average Monarchist, and they don't really worry me one way or the other, as they cost me almost nothing and they really don't influence Australian political or social life to any degree. To me their role negates the necessity for us to have another overpaid "Job for the Boys" where we continue to provide an overinflated income for some burned out politician who is already on a six figure retirement plan with free perks for life.

Like yourself I was becoming pretty disillusioned with with the Royals, but of late I feel the newer generation have certainly pulled their weight and shown themselves to be very capable. I'm turning again.

Unfortunately even with the Royals we've also got jobs for the boys. A certain peer attends the House of Lords for half an hour so that he can claim his £300 for turning up and then claims when confronted "It was his right," and then got all bitter and twisted that he was confronted by a journalist. Its sick that government will only pay an elderly pensioner something like £100 a week, yet pays those tosser peers who were never elected by the public £300 for half an hour sitting in the House of Lords.
