Well the little aholes finally did it, they started a street gang right here in my neighborhood, all to combat the gang in the neighborhood next to us....don't y'all think thats just as special as hell?
Well.......they took a few shots with a BB gun at my dog today, hit my house once,.......................yea I called the cops, I'd have been better off returning fire on my own, which is my new and improved homeowners policy, from now on I return fire

only thing the little punks really need to realize is I don't own a BB gun.
 
Oh how special of those little brats. :roll: Make sure you shoot to kill. Our country is in enough trouble as it is without them for our future.
 
Yes TOG they are shooting at both my property AND living things on my property

Sevens don't worry I consider them a clear and Present Danger, and I WILL treat them as such.
I didn't spend all that time in the Navy and not learn a few things
 
Arg. I hope if you catch them doing it again you DO shoot them. They'd deserve it.

I can't stand the idea of shooting at animals for fun.
 
You did the right thing, just call the cops let them deal with it.

Remember they are just kids, and well I am sure we were all snot-nosed punks at one point or another.

I do like TI's idea. Give me your address and I'll send you my mother right away, she is a specialist in child behavior correction. Did wonders for me. :wink:

I only have one problem with them being kids, in 1983 my division officers knee was blown away by a "kid" down in El Salvador. And I have a little round scar from a 12 year old with a 38

I have already told the cops this also, and that they had better catch the little invaders before I do, the cops are actually looking now :)
 
Let me get this straight. A kid shoots at your house and dog with a bb gun and you reckon it is a fair trade with taking his life?? Better yet; you gotta do watcha gotta do..... Shoot him?! Are you serious?
Some here are people who have been around and this is the best solution you can come up with; shooting the kid? If so, I hope you spend a few years thinking of a better solution in a penitentiary institution
 
Usually, Ted, I'd agree with you. But if someone is shooting at your property you should have the right to return fire in self defense, whether the shooter has a BB gun or an RPG.
 
I would be really surprised if there were not "proportionate response" laws somewhere on the books that say you can't open up on a kids BB gun with an RPG.

Most nations have some level of self defence laws but few allow escalation.

Holy crap! Just stumbled upon this thread.... WTF MAN!? Really, Ted's got it spot on... I mean, a BB gun is going to do NOTHING to a house unless it hits a window and it's darn powerful... Now, shooting back with a BB gun is a different story ;). But I definitely agree with Ted here... These responses are friggin ridiculous... If someone is shooting at my property with a BB gun, the most I'm gonna do is pop em back with a BB gun... MontyB's right... There's no law that says you can escalate the fighting... Just fight back in self defense... It's the same thing as if someone came onto your property (not violently, just strolling along) and then you blowing their head off with a Deagle. It's called unnecessary force.

:) Thank you for the kind words TOG (and Rob of course), but let me see if I can make my point differently. If someone is attacking you by deliberately aiming at you, sure you can respond in kind. But returning fire with a 9mm isn't even in the same ball park.
As a kid I'd shoot with paper arrows via a pvc tube at my neighbors' house. Just kid stuff. Yes, I was aiming at the house. But that doesn't make it like I am targeting the inhabitants! It wasn't an attack.... One of the neighbors came out red hot and she belted my brother right on the cheeck. We didn't complain or whine about it. You play a kid's game and sometimes you get burned. (We did put an enormous amount of paper arrows through her open window.) But being shot on the spot is overkill squared... times a quadzilliontrillion!
 
Right... BB Gun and bullet are in two completely different spectrums of hurt... The main difference being one can KILL you... Course, if you have a BB gun, fire away.
 
Perhaps I need to clarify my side as well.

I say use the gun but don't aim AT the kid. Just put one in the ground or in the sky, he'll get the message.
