School and Service

Not in most MOS fields.

1. You need to concentrate on learning your MOS.
2. MOS schools vary in length.
3. You'll be changing Stations after completing MOS training.

I think your best bet would to change to an online college where you can work at your own pace.

Then when you get to your duty station, if you are not deploying, you can start up some classes.

The only way you could finish your degree in a good time is by an online college. I know Baker College out of Flint Michigan has a great online degree programs and I have had several classes online with them and there are always a few military people in each class. I am in my Masters program and there are military in those classes online too.

Finishing a Degree

You should check out the services' ROTC programs - "Green to Gold" is the US Army's program. It is available for junior enlisted members with some college to attend long enough to finish their degree on full scholarship, while earning E-5 pay (last time I looked). Of course, like the full ROTC program which you might have checked into in high school, the degree program has to be approved by the service, so a Music Theory degree will probably not be available.

Check into Green to Gold (or the other services' variants).
