Roadside bomb misses US military convoy in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- A roadside bomb blast missed a US military
convoy in southeastern Baghdad on Sunday, wounding five Iraqi civilians, an
Interior Ministry source said.
The roadside bomb missed a US military convoy travelling on a highway
near al-Jadida in the capital at about 9:15 am (0615 GMT), the source told
Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The blast also struck three civilian cars, wounding five people, added
the source.
Separately, the Iraqi police found three unknown bodies in execution
style early in the morning in the al-Orfaly district in southern Baghdad.
On Saturday, five US soldiers were killed and five others were wounded
in two separate roadside bomb attacks in northern Iraq.
