Hello all,

I got this patch from my mother. She is not sure where she got it. I am trying to identify it, but am not sure of all the details.

To me this looks like a WWII era Navy Chief Petty Officer with a Radio Technician or Electronics Technician insignia in the middle, but I am not sure. The technician insignia on this patch does not look exactly like any other technician insignia I have found on the internet.

Hopefully someone here can positively identify the correct era for this patch, and also the exact insignia that is in the middle of the bars and the eagle.

I think you are right but that insignia is very confusing as it does not appear in a standard configuration.
