BEIT HANOUN, Gaza Strip (Reuters) - Palestinian militants who abducted an Israeli soldier gave Israel less than 24 hours on Monday to meet their demands to release Palestinian prisoners, threatening unspecified consequences if it refused.

I would recommend that Palestinian militants reconsider their ultimatum ... it appears that Israel has the top hand (again), in this face off. Every time that Hamas and these militants commit another incident, it pushes the date for a Palestinian homeland that much further away.

Israeli forces might just decide to rid themselves of this problem by going into the strip and leveling every structure and killing every person who has a weapon.

They can be patient just so long before the Israeli government decides enough is enough.
