New Zealand sisters, aged 12 and 14, crash into each other

A 12-YEAR-OLD New Zealand driver who could not see over the steering wheel has crashed into another car driven by her 14-year-old sister who was looking for her.

Both girls suffered minor injuries in the crash, which happened in Hamilton on Monday.
Police were initially called by a motorist who said she was nearly hit by a car driven by someone who could not see over the steering wheel, said Inspector Marcus Lynam today.
Shortly afterwards, the car crashed into another vehicle.
Both cars were extensively damaged.
It appears the younger girl had taken a car for a drive and the older girl became concerned about where she was and went looking for her, Insp Lynam said.
It was too early to say what, if any, charges the girls may face

Hahahahaha! Jeez i thought i had seen some pretty loose stuff in hamilton over the last three years but this is just great. A+ parenting right there.

Mabe she stopped at her local pub before heading back home and meeting her sister half way...:drink:

Actually the story would sound more reasonable if it was, say.. 8 & 7 year olds. 12 & 14, you can get a licence or learners permit @ 15 here. You'd think they both should have been able to see, though there are short people around.

You have to be 16 to get a learners here and more than likely the parents were at the pub, casino or maybe even working.

When I joined the RAF drivers of HGV (Heavy Goods vehicles) had to be 21 and over, yet in the military 17 year olds could drive HGV's
