My brother in the USMC

I was recently told that my brother will be joining the marines soon and I wanted to get an idea of the life he's putting himself in for. I have read threads and there are details here and there but they don't seem to explain the life in general to me. Please bear in mind I live in australia and know very little about the us military even after hanging around here.

It depends on the MOS. The life of a grunt and the life of a supply guy are two entirely different worlds.
