Topic: Must see micro beltfed upper

This is in a class all by itself!

It's a beltfed upper for the AR platform, shoots .22 LR, drop on two pin upper conversion....works with a semi or full auto lower.

WAY slick

It shoots a .17 M2 round that generates about 166 FPE at the muzzle....think .22 LR on steroids... so you tell me hereo...do you think it can kill someone?

Not quite a .22LR on steriods, Federal HYP's have 155 FPE, the .17M2 has 152FPE, now if chambered in .22mag or .17mag, then you are at 350 FPE for the .22 mag and 270 for the .17mag. Either way, all can kill, it all depends on aim point and time on target.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The hardest shooting .22 LR ammo shoots at about 155 FPE...the average .22 LR shoots about 125 FPE...so a 22 LR shooting at well above the norm is a .22 LR sort of on steroids...the M2 round out of that gun is doing 168 FPE...which is again like a .22 LR on steroids.

Since they .22 LR and .17 M2 share many case dimentions (the toeh point of not haveing to change but a barrel and weight the bolt) it's more like a .22 LR on steroids.

Again I don't need to look at the tables, because I shoot the guns and own the ammo and do the testing. If you are basing your knowledge on tables that you are picking up from the mfg, you got a LONG way to go...
But if you want to look at tables on the internet, the Hornaday is a good one...reads 166 FPE but again our gun tested with the .17M2 in 17 grain pill tested out at an average of 168 or so...prolly barrel length difference.
Testing out the M2 in the 20 grain pill ran out at 187 FPE...again like a .22 LR on steroids.

Ohh but wait let's go to the Eley chart...

"Remington Premier® 17 MACH2 rimfire ammunition will be offered with an explosive 17 grain AccuTip-V™ bullet and a sizzling muzzle velocity of 2100 fps.:

so 17 grains @ 2100 FPS...what's that ...hmmm 166 FPE....

Here check for your self:

But please do show me on the Wolf ammo page where there is information about their "17 Mach2" ammo...

http://www.wolfammo.com/1_rimfire.htm

or please show me where Olin via Winchester has any data on their Mach2 ammo.
