In very small numbers, maximal hundreds T98/T98G are in service IMO, long way to go (to replace old types).

Yah sure in tanks

I hope within 10 years, the number will jump to 1000, then it is almost enough for PLA, we don't need to fight too many border wars

Nice to know that you consider 1000 t-98 tanks enough and all the older tanks you've got. Here in britain we consider just under 400 MBT to be enough.

But UK is so small compared to China. We have land borders you have only water.

1,000 T98 for China actually is a very easy thing, T98 costs only millions Yuan not Dollars, even if it costs 1 million USD, we only need to spend 2 billion USD for 1000 T98 (inclusive production and long term maintainance), doing things in China way cheaper. 2 billion is not a big deal for a Defence of 50 billion per year. If EU lifts the Arms Sanction, I believe PLA is ready to buy UK and German MBT's.

When are the EU nations suppose to meet up with China to talk about the embargo life FlyingFrog? If it was to be lifted it would help China in its military upgrade.

When? no idea. Most important countries like Germany and France are supporting the lifting, also UK and Italy etc. Now only 2 small countries are against it in EU, also EU may listen to USA, but EU does not want to be treated as USA's room maid, so EU may act independently soon.

Maybe it will be lifted with 1 year, but China is not desperate for getting EU's arms, on the contrary, China saves much money by not buying but design/produce own arms, China has already a huge militry production complex, everything can be produced, but China wants to import some to compare the quality and wants to import technology.
