By Maayan Lubell JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed his former foreign minister, Avigdor Lieberman, back to government on Wednesday after the ultra-nationalist politician was acquitted of corruption charges. Lieberman's return to office could further complicate already troubled U.S.-sponsored peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians. A settler living on occupied land where Palestinians seek statehood, Lieberman has been outspokenly skeptical of the negotiations that resumed in July after a three-year impasse, saying that reaching a permanent peace deal was impossible. "I congratulate you on the unanimous acquittal and am happy about your return to the Israeli government so we can continue working together for the good of the people of Israel," Netanyahu told Lieberman, according to a statement from the prime minister's office.More...
