"The first British servicewoman to die in action in Iraq was among five military personnel killed in Saturday's helicopter crash in Basra. Flt Lt Sarah-Jayne Mulvihill, 32, died with Wing Commander John Coxen, Lt Commander Darren Chapman, Captain David Dobson, and Marine Paul Collins.
Wing Commander Coxen, from Royal Air Force Benson, Oxon, is the most senior British officer to be killed in Iraq.
A British team is investigating whether the helicopter was shot down."

Very sad: I often see the helicopters operating out of RAF Benson flying overhead where I work. They use our offices as a nav point.

Looks like their helicopter (reported earlier to be a Lynx) was hit by the burst from an RPG as it came into land, either a lucky shot or an exploit of the RPG-7 rocket's 4.5 sec / 920m self-detonation.

RIP.
