Well I was talking about the time my friends went to France and they snobbed him because he was American and couldn't speak French. This was well before 9/11 btw. But he told me it was because Americans aren't willing to learn and respect other cultures that foreigners don't like us. That's a really big stereotype, but it must have started somewhere.

I have the god given freedom to flip flop. Going abroad and being a boisterious,proud American was once falsly construed to be ugly. Flip flopping is adapting to the current situation,which is what an american does when traveling abroad,unless you have security.
