How to Get a Top-Secret Clearance

FOUR officer-training classmates and I were assigned to the same unit at Fort Benning, Ga. The battalion commander said that one of us, after a series of evaluations, would be given the responsibility for a new, non-conventional weapon, along with a top-secret security clearance. Two weeks later, I was chosen. Surprised, I asked the commander why I was selected.

"Well, lieutenant," he explained, "the investigating team went to your South Carolina home town and had you cleared in three days. It would have taken them three months to research the others. Your main qualification was the size of your town."

You call that small, Henderson? LOL The town closest to me only has about 600 people. Looks like I'll be cleared before you. ;)
