MY HUSBAND is with the Air National Guard at Camp Perry in Port Clinton, Ohio. On duty weekends, he leaves so early in the morning that our preschool daughter, Whitney, has never seen him in uniform. One night before a drill weekend, I was ironing his camouflage uniform while she watched. As I finished, Whitney excitedly ran out of the room. "Daddy, Daddy!" she called out. "I didn't know you were a GI Joe!"
