Hello to all here. My handle is AVON, my name is Adrian. I am sixty-five, a retired semiconductor layout engineer in Silicon Valley. I was the first African American to do integrated circuit layout back in Aug. 1964! Married forty-four years, I married a woman with a strong stomach. She can stomach anything I dish out. The father of six (four of whom were adopted as infants) and, the GRANDFATHER of eleven (18yo down to 3yo).
My greatest achievement is to have worked with my wife to get four teenage daughters through their teen years in the 1980s with no pregnancy nor any police or drug involvements!
I did not serve in the military. I tried to enlist in the US Army in December of 1964, I had passed the test and had qualified for forty-four weeks of electronic school (HAWK Missile technician) only to fail the physical test.... damn!
I only hop my time here can be a real positive contribution.
