Greetings
I have been interested in modern (and some ancient) history for many years, speculating on 'what if' scenerios and the general lessons we can learn from the past. My interests include strategy, technology and the unpredictable human factor in decision making.
My belief is that the outcome of many wars and battles (as with many other things in life) have been decided by chance, good fortune, political meddling, fear, overconfidence and reputation, deserved or otherwise.
Perhaps from examining the behaviour and decisions made during the stress of conflict we can gain a profound insight into human nature and how it is used in other aspects of life.
