Going through ROTC

Has anyone here joined the National Guard went through ROTC and then joined full time army or other service?

i'm thinking of joining the guard next year when i'm eligible but no offense to the guardsmen i just want to go army afterwards from ROTC and want to find out from others how its worked out for them.

Appreciate all the help and your service to the country thank all of you.
 
You can do it. What will likely happen is that once you get through basic and AIT and are enrolled in an ROTC program. (Army in this case). You will be paid at your current rank and be considered a cadet. In most cases this makes you a 3rd lieutenant. You will tag along with a junior officer and learn the ropes from them. Not sure how the air guard does it.
