The lawyer for a former astronaut accused of racing across the country to attack a romantic rival received an additional 60 days to file claims that she was insane. A judge also gave the lawyer, Donald Lykkebak, access to audiotapes of the astronaut, Capt. Lisa M. Nowak, at her arrest. Captain Nowak’s trial on charges of attempted kidnapping, battery and burglary is to start on Sept. 24.
