Don't know if Stupid can be fixed but we need too try , telling ISIS that in April or May of this year 25000 troops will be deployed to take back Mosul is stupid , one you don't tell your enemy your plans , two that gives your enemy plenty of time to give you a warm reception .

I agree the US does make so much information public knowledge concerning military affairs. They would be better to keep their mouths shut in Washington more often. Particularly since the press has a field day with such announcements. Why not train the troops covertly, thus keeping them out of the political spotlight. Certainly it's within the president powers to do so.
Bottom line is that I do hope they take back the oil rich center of Mosul and free the people from the tyranny. This would be a setback for ISIS.

As if American Journalist or TV Crews would publish any thing about military operations just to get the headlines and that might cause additional causalities to the forces.

Unthinkable, lets not be coy. We all know that the media has the troops best interest at heart.
