but as the new version of Kanwa points out

China's development in new gen IFV is a bit outdated, as it still perfers large guns, yet it does not add up much armors (weighs below 20 tons)

china should develops 30mm gun IFV with HJ-9 anti-tank missile,
that is probably what china's airborn IFV is all about, but airborn IFV weighs only 8 ton , even more vulnerable

t-98 have like 2 improvment types

t-98 , t-98G or t-99 and t-99G

t-99G is upgrade to 1500 hp, prbably longer, better fire -control, better armor (new front armor look like Leoport 2 A 6 now)

i hope u can read Kanwan's June version talking about t-99G

no, but it is not practical to drop IFV from sky now, and there has never been a real fighting in which large number of IFV are droped (not from helicopter though)

Kanwa points out that airborn IFV were more likely just to symbolically scare the Eastern European nations in cold war,

in today's modern anti-air warfare, dropping tanks over enemies seem to be impractical


but Kanwa also points out, CHina's primary enemy is probably Taiwan, which does not have a very superub air-defence after being hammered with chinese missiles
