Lockheed Martin Corp. data on the F-35 fighter that was lost by a company employee is being reviewed by the Air Force and Federal Bureau of Investigation after it was recovered at a gas station.
There is no investigation of wrongdoing or release of classified information at this time as a result of a misplaced computer memory stick, Air Force Master Sergeant Carolyn Gwathmey said in a statement yesterday.
Glen Frausto, 42, a truck driver from Azle, Texas, said he found the memory stick on the ground at a gas station down the street from his house. The information on the stick included diagrams of the jet's fuselage, engine, wiring, firing system, and propulsion system, he said.
Air Force Captain Christine Millette said the memory device is still being reviewed.
