I live in OR, but want to go to college and be in the Marine Reserves in CA. Can I enlist up here in OR, but when finished with SOI go to my unit in CA? I know I have to contact the unit I would be going to, to make sure they have a slot open for the MOS I want (0311). Can me and my recruiter do that my phone? Also, I've heard you meet with the company's 1st Sergeant. When do you meet with him?
