Did F-14A carry drop-tanks?

Does any body know whether any of the USN F-14As carry the fuel drop-tanks? If yes, then did they need any major upgrades to be able to carry it like F-14D or no...

Yes they could. They could carry 1x 330 Gal drop tank on each wing pylon.
