Same stuff happened to me. Went for Assessment day on 2nd of Feb and was told I would have to see my orthpedic surgeon. I had a partial tear in the cruciate ligament in my knee 4 years earlier and even though I had MRI's there and the surgeon said I was ok they still told me to go back to him. Took me a month to go see him and around 80 dollars now I am not going in until the 26th of September. I think I missed out on an earlier intake because of this.

It is annoying how this crap happens. So you had an MRI as well? Whats strange is they don't even trust the words of a specialist? Im lucky enough just to have some muscle inflamations and thats it. It is already taking them too long to inform me on the next step of recruitment, which i believe is the physical. I called my defence recruiter just a half an hour ago and of course i had to talk to an answering machine. I hope she rings up shortly.

I have been reading all the American boards where there recruiters ring them up nearly every week. Mine doesn't give a shit about me. Spoke to him on JOES day, spoke to him over the phone couple of days before Assessment day, spoke to someone else informing me they had a position for me, spoke to him to set a date for the PFT. And when I went and had my blood test it took them 2 months to get back to me about it.

Oi, Melbourne is the best city in Australia :P

Anyway, im glad things are close to finished for me, im waiting for the medical group to clear me and then do the PFA and enlistment. If i knew this would take so long, i would have done some tafe course when in the middle of recruitment.
