Hello

Do the members here like the books about a fictional war?

Especially when the cold war turned hot

such as

Red Storm Rising by Tom Clancy

The Third World War by General Sir John Hackett (two actually)

Team Yankee by Harold Coyle

Red Army by Ralph Peters

The Total War 2006 by ehhh crap I do not remember the author

there are many more, I suppose. These books are the few I have read.

take care

The problem with Dale Brown's books are that they're becoming very stale. He's even having someone co-write for him.

I read 3 or four and have some others (up to #7) but I stopped reading him - maybe it is just me but he seems to get a lot of nomenclature and details wrong - which bothers me.
Newt Gingrich and William Forstchen did the same in their alternative WWII history books.
I just don't get how so many writers, after all these years, get details wrong and put forth myths about things which are so easy to research.
