The time is at hand. I'm leaving this coming Tuesday for one last day at MEPS, then I officially begin my orientation week for BCT on Wed. the 21st. Only 5 days from the time of this post. I'm looking forward to the challenge. I've researched every aspect of this, and I'm confident I am going to excell in spite of my age.

Thank you to everyone here who has given me sage advice, and info about what the Army will really be like. I'll be here posting for just a few more days, then obviously I'll be gone for at least ten weeks. Don't miss me too badly. ;)

I intend to make the most of it. At 31, I'm pretty old for BCT so I'm prepared to have to work harder than the youngsters. Maybe I still have a trick or two left, though. ;)
