5 MSF (Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors without Borders)) workers were killed in an ambush yesterday in the Bhagis region in Afghanistan.

A norwegian Doctor, A Belgian (female) project coordinator, a Dutch logistics worker, and Afghan driver and an interpreter were killed when the Taliban ambushed their car.
The 5 workers were on their way home to Qala-i-Nau from a village clinic.

Looks like everyone who's not Taliban are becoming targets down there now..
But attacking unarmed volunteers that are there only to help your people?????..... :?

Rest in peace.

I don't understand it at all, either, Redleg. :? Of course it is pretty impossible to rationalize terrorism.

What's sad is this is what they say they do this in the name of their religion. I am sure the doctors' efforts were appreciated by those they helped.
It reminds me of the same sorts of atrocities that were committed in Vietnam many years ago. Medical teams would go into a village and inoculate the people against diseases and the thugs of the Viet Cong would come in the next day and actually cut off the arms of anyone they suspected of being inoculated.
Those doctors you mentioned gave their lives in a humanitarian cause that the criminals of the Taliban saw as a threat to their control. Their logic is beyond the comprehension of civilized men.

Why do they kill doc's,i wont expres my feelings about this here but i can say that i cant be "civil" on some things
