8 Norwegian Soldiers wounded in Afhanistan

8 Norwegian ISAF soldiers was wounded last night during a routine mission in the Ghormach-district in the Faryab-province in Afhanistan.
They where ambushed, and after a 6 hour long fight 8 Norwegians where wounded by bullets and shrapnel, one of them is fighting for his life now and a second one is classified as severely injured.

(The news articles says 6 wounded, but this morning it was reported that the number was 8)

I have many friends down there so this was not a very good way to start the week. :?

I just sent some friends down that way, looks like they are going to have alot of stuff on their plate..

The most severely injured soldier has been through surgery today and he's stable now and it looks like he will survive.

I lost an uncle in Afghan back in the 80s. I think you guys should get out of there, the sooner the better. We don't have a choice in Chechnya, it is our country, our people, we have to protect them from the terrorists. Afghanistan is far from USA though.
