The 101st FSB has a long and distinguished history of service dating back to 1917 and the beginning of World Was I. The 101st FSB is the oldest support unit in the U.S. Army since the Army’s reorganization just before World War I. It is affectionately known as the “Guardian Battalion” with a motto that truly represents today’s Army: "Portons Les Fardeaux" (Let us carry the Burden!)
