| Centurion | How about machine guns, LAWs and and mines/IED? If those guys are training for guerilla warfare, proper use of MGs, LAWs and mines/IED will be quite essential. I guess the mines/IED and LAWs could be kind a forbidden ones, and MGs also forbidden or expensive enough to buy them by individuals? |

| 100% Space Shuttle Door Gunner | The idea of the Militia is self armed citizens. All of the arms you see in the photos are privately purchased. Same with the equipment. MG are not illegal but they are pricey. All of the Class III Full Auto Weapons that are for sell on the civilian market were made before 1986. After 1986, all full auto weapons made cannot be sold to civilians. Hence why they're pricey. Supply and demand.... 99.9% train to be self reliant and to be able to defend themselves and other with small arms. Most are small gorups of 10-4 people. Some are lone wolves.

| Tribunus Laticlavius | Just looking at some of these fellas, you can tell they'd know how to make bombs if anything happened. Also, 5.56, when you were listing all the roles the AR-15 fills, you said they can be dissipators. What the heck is that?

| Centurion | You're right that there is a very low probability that we will face a scenario that requires guerrilla tactics and heavy weapons, but keep in mind that people aren't necessarily wary of foreign powers invading, but our own government attempting to strip us of our rights. A lot of people don't trust our own government, and different people show it in different ways. Some choose to protest, some are members of movements, while others choose to be prepared when the government turns on its citizens. Back in the 1700s most of Colonial America was populated by very independent outdoorsmen who knew how to hunt, which translated to effectiveness on the battlefield and cultivated the warrior spirit. Today, much of that ethos is lost, but the few who retain the same ideals as the militia back then prepare on their own time and use their own money. I forget who said it but it was like, "People should not be afraid of their government, the government should be afraid of its people." edited to add: Thomas Jefferson said it.

| No Chance Outside | Funny thing is, the Thomas Jefferson quote is living itself out as a reality in China.
