That is why I am against any firearms regstration and licensing. First they make you register your firearms and they place you on a list "for your own good". Then they make you get a license to own said firearm. Then they don't searches and raids for your firearms that they deem you cannot own.

Government registration leads to government abuse of power. Information is the most powerful and deadly of weapons. Giving the government information can and will lead to your demise. It has happened everywhere and it can can anywhere.

History is the best teacher of that.

So, is my name on a list because I bought a SKS and Mosin-Nagant the day I turned 18?

they were apparently raiding for unregistered and/or illegal weapons.

some of the evidence produced was a list of items bought off an online auction site;



the issue is whether a pack of peace and animal rights activists would have weapons at all is the main thing. my info suggests that they raided one place looking for military style weapons....but left with only a newspaper, a sleeping bag and a machete

Actually I would have been pretty suspicious myself. Just look at that list. Then again, if owning such firearms were legal it wouldn't have been a problem.
