Tucson-based Raytheon Missile Systems said it has completed the integration of the latest version of the Tomahawk cruise missile onto the U.S. Navy's newest fast-attack submarine with a recent successful test firing.
Raytheon said a Navy Virginia-class submarine fired a Tomahawk Block IV missile from the Gulf of Mexico to engage a simulated target. The subs join destroyers, cruisers, fast-attack and guided-missile ships that can already use the latest Tomahawk.
