What were some of your favorite Military oriented tv shows?

Go back as far as you like.

Mine are: band of brothers, 12 O'clock High!

Comedys are ok too.... MASH, Phil Silvers, McHale's Navy etc...

The only TV show I've seen with exception of Band Of Brothers is MASH, so that's my vote :)
 
As for mini-series it would have to be Band of Brothers with Das Boot comming in second. No movie or series even comes close to Band of Brothers. For TV series, Hogan's Heroes is numero uno. I watch Combat from time to time and I also liked Tour of Duty. Rat Patrol never lived up to that opening sequence with the Jeeps jumping in the air and that music in the playing in the background.
 
MASH and Hogans Heroes, even if the Germans are very idiotic in that, but Sgt Schultz is the best.
 
Yup Band of Brothers was awesome, but also like JAG and watched NCIS for the first time last night Impressed I am will have to watch more of that
 
Jeah, right, and especially the episode of JAG when they were connected with NCIS that was a cool idea
 
Tour of Duty, M*A*S*H, Band of Brothers, and the History Channel used to run the old Black Sheep series, which if not factual was still pretty good.
