Surprise, surprise, surprise!

Band of Brothers, which was just a superb series, especially the sections where they interview the actual soldiers..........

Also enjoyed the BBC series Commando............ :salute:

Combat with Vic Morrow and Rick Jason.. Series was aired in the early 60s and was about a squad of soldiers in ww2 on the European battlefield.

I have several purely military TV series favourites.
Danger UXB
Band of Brothers
Piece of Cake
Tour of Duty
Dad's Army
Red Cap

Another fav .....

Easy answer ......... *M*A*S*H* .......... no question.

The Rat Patrol was also a favorite back when it was being aired on television [ 1966-1968]. It gave a very good account of the 'Rats' that were on jeep patrol in the deserts of Africa during the war. A little net surfing netted a number of references to the patrols that were carried out by these forces [search term, 'Rat Patrol'].

The Unit (Obviously, I'm military)
Big Bang Theory (I'm also a Geek)
How I met your Mother (2 words .... Barney Stinson)

Yes, I do love Gomer Pyle, watched it when I was a small kid.

But I do have my current favourites:-

Band of Brothers- I have the whole DVD series
Battleplan- downloaded it somewhere.
The Unit- had 3 season's worth of collection awaiting for the 4th...

There...
