Your Favorite Military TV series?

Band of Brothers, Tour of Duty, Civil War Combat, and War Stories with Oliver North are my favorites.

As for comedies - I liked MASH the best.

12 O'clock High (Probably the all time best, IMHO)
Black Sheep
Mail Call
Combat
Run Silent, Run Deep
JAG (Hokey as all hell, but fun)
MASH (see above)

I loved Band of Brothers, but it wasn't really a continuing series.

There was a series on FX reccently it was called "Over There" I thought it was really interesting and hit close to home with some of the soldiers in my unit who just got back from Iraq.

Yes it was. And then they made a TV series based on the movie. I believe that it ran four or five seasons.

I can't seem to find anything about it on the net. Do you know anything else about it?

JAG, Stargate SG-1, Combat!, Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, War Stories with Oliver North, Tour of Duty, Mail Call, and anything else on the History Channel.

Band of Brothers. Is Major Winters still alive?
Mash.
Hogan's Hero's. Re-runs again-at the mo.
Ultimate Force.
Dunkirk. Doco series-final tonight.

Tour of Duty, I have the first full season and am in the process of geting the other 2 seasons plus the extras. 56 episodes in all. :)

Can't believe noone even listed the George C Scott hosted show "Firepower"...that show rocked. Showed equipment in use and the backgrounds.

JAG -- two words: Catherine Bell.

There's a ton of stuff on the Military Channel that's also good.
